Slides on the Bass

In this instructional video, your instructor, Xavier Foley, will explain how he achieves a controlled slide to climax notes in both thumb position and the lower position. To achieve the slide in thumb position requires a different technique than the lower position, and Xavier Foley will provide an easy, simple solution to achieve such slide. Such slides are extremely useful in Romantic era compositions such as the Koussevitsky bass concerto & the Bottesini Concerto No. 2 for example.
