I am really enjoying playing these exercises on cello, working on a couple at a time to get down well. Love the different rhythms to try and variations of melody/harmony - just perfect for intermediate player. You can get a lot out of these exercises, but there is no video of someone playing it on a cello, so you lose some fingering tips.

If you just got a good cellist to play them, it wouldn’t be much work, but if you can’t do that, there should be a paragraph or two about how a cellist or other stringed instrument could benefit from the exercises. Wouldn’t take much time,I think

I am a violin teacher and concert performer. The exercises are interesting and definitely enjoyable and fun to play! The only downside is the harmonics in Studies Nos. 3, 6, and 9. It’s clear they weren’t originally written for the violin because many of the harmonics can’t be played. Perhaps they should be reworked specifically for the instrument’s technique. In any case, great work!

I purchased this for my children, so it presents a good challenge for them! Doublebass and violin players.
