Return policy:
If you are not satisfied with your "Cobra" Brazilwood French Double Bass bow within 30 days of receiving it, you may request a refund by emailing info@xavierfoley.com. You can only request a refund after 5 days of receiving the bow. This is so you can get used to the different feel of the bow, and to allow time for the rosin to settle into the bow hair in order to experience the full potential of the bow. The bow must be sent back in good condition
The bow arrived in good condition and in the appropriate amount of time promised. The fittings and appearance of the bow seem to be of very good quality. The stick is straight and quite strong. It doesn't require a lot of over-tightening which indicates wood strength in the cambering. Compared to my Norwood Lee bow, it has more weight and stick girth, but it feels good under the hand. That being said, once I got rosin worked into it and played for a while I was pleased with the tone it produced on both my Pollmann and my jazz plywood basses. In fact, I trusted it well enough to play an afternoon jazz concert on the very day I worked in the rosin. It did a great job too. I bought this as both a backup for my classical gigs and as a primary for my jazz gigs (I personally prefer not to take my expensive equipment into nightclub settings). I must admit that this was money well spent and I also will refer my student bass players to make this a first purchase bow. Thank you to Xavier and his staff for a great "bang-for-your-buck" product!
Thank you so much for your review! We’re really glad to hear the bow is working well for you, both in classical and jazz. Your support and recommendation mean a lot!
